And the award for worst blogger goes too...

Okay so I know that it's been way too long, but I'm trying to become a better blogger. At least to keep a better record of Henry's milestones. I can hardly believe that my baby is 7 months old! Where has the time gone?? I feel like we just brought him home from the hospital yesterday...

and now he's 7 months old!

Henry sure has been keeping me busy. We went to the doctor's a couple weeks ago for his 6 month shots and he was 16lbs 28 inches! Such a big boy now. He's been working on sitting up, when he feels like it, and he's jumping away in his bouncer. I have no doubt he'll be running before we know it. He's been eating like crazy... peas, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, apple sauce, pears, bananas, and squash. He loves everything! Here are a few pictures from this week. I can hardly believe that August is almost over.

He may be little, but he's a HUGE Astros fan!

Apparently I don't feed him enough!

Do I have enough toys?? (These are just the ones hanging by my high chair)

I'm also trying something new...

I think it's an awesome idea. Here's Henry's and my pic this week.

The many faces of Henry...

Easter, Opening Day, and other happenings...

Henry was so excited that the Easter Bunny came to visit him. (Okay, so he probably didn't notice) But I never miss an opportunity to take some pictures!

Well Astros' opening day was a little overwhelming. I had never been to opening day before and had not realized how crazy it can be! There were so many people, they were even charging $50 to park in some places. To top it off, I lost my Moby, and I had to carry Henry into the park myself! After Mommy calmed down, we were able to get some great shots.

A proud Daddy and son.

Henry thought it was a little bright...

So yesterday was a quiet afternoon until I found this

in my bedroom. Yikes! Luckily with the help of a pyrex bowl and a wonderful husband, the snake is gone. I still can't believe I was able to trap it before Joseph could get home from work. There were a few tears, from me and Henry, but we survived! Hopefully we don't have any more uninvited guests anytime soon.

Back to Blogging...

Okay, now that little Henry has finally arrived it's about time I start blogging again! This is such a great way to keep family and friends updated. (and to see pictures of course!) He's keeping us busy these days, but we're loving every minute of it.

I can hardly believe that this weekend is Easter already! Time really does fly. Joseph's parents and sister are coming this weekend to spend some time with Henry. It will be his first time meeting Aunt Audrey so he is very excited. Thanks to my best friend, the swing, I've been able to get the house in order for our visitors. I'm going to be cooking Easter lunch this year so it will be my first time cooking a Ham. Hopefully it goes better than Christmas did, but we'll see... Anyway now on the the fun part the pictures!

Here's some pics from the past year to catch ya'll up...

A very exciting moment!

I'm A Horrible Blogger...

Okay long time no blog... let's just say life's changed a bit since the last time I've posted. I'm ready to attempt this again, so we'll see where this takes us! Today is the Astro's opening day and Joseph and his good friend William are enjoying the game. I'll be tagging along in the future, but just giving Joseph the chance to enjoy this opening game sans Melissa interruptions. I mean who can enjoy the game without a hot dog, or some ice cream. Slowly but surely I'm learning more and more about baseball and the Astros in particular. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Fargo Family, we are avid football followers- The New England Patriots to be specific. So baseball is new to me. I'm looking forward to this season and enjoying some games with my sweet Astros fanatic husband.

In other news, Joseph and I are super excited about heading to El Paso for Easter. This will be my second time seeing Abigail, our precious niece, and Joseph's first time. We love being an Aunty and Uncle already, and she's only 2 1/2 weeks old! We head out Thursday night and are staying through Monday. It should be a lot of fun. Only three more days until I can kiss this sweet face.

Maybe soon enough we'll have our own little bundle of joy... that's a whole other post, so on that note I'll say goodnight!

Cake

Okay this is what I did yesterday....
I made this cake for my friend's baby shower. I must say that I have a new found respect for my Mom. How she does this day after day I just don't know. After two cakes, three batches of frosting, a heating pad, and a trip to WalMart it was done. I still smell the buttercream haha. I hope she liked it!
On another note, we looked at more houses today. It's a little overwhelming knowing that this is one of the biggest purchases we will every make! But I have faith that God will provide us with a house, and not just any house but our home. We actually found a couple townhomes that we really like. We are going over paperwork with our realtor so we can put an offer in as soon as tomorrow! I'll keep you posted and hopefully I'll post some pictures soon.

Here we are...

Okay, so we finally decided to join everyone in the world of blogging. Hopefully this will help us keep in touch with our family and friends that we miss so much!
